My Story

For as long as I can remember I have wanted to look after babies.  I was babysat for local families, had a nanny job in my gap year and in 1995 my dream came true when I trained at Great Ormond Street Hospital as a Paediatric Nurse.

On qualifying, I worked at Great Ormond Street before moving to Paediatric Accident & Emergency at a London hospital where I continue to work.  I have had various Paediatric Nursing roles in London hospitals.

20 years ago I became a Registered Health Visitor and have worked in the community & hospital.  I have been in the NHS nearly 30 years!

I trained to be a Certified Infant Massage Instructor in 2006.  I was completely blown away by the benefits for parents and babies and the lifelong bonding and memories it gives.  The classes have been such a special part of my work supporting parents ever since and I was lucky enough to massage my two babies.

Back in 2006 Baby Steps was born.  While working as a Paediatric Nurse and Health Visitor in London, I recognised the need for a relaxed and friendly service to address common parental concerns.  Practical essentials First Aid, Weaning and emotional support with Baby Massage & Relaxation and Soul-Full Mama & Baby. Now with the overwhelm of social media I am reducing parental fears with my Weaning SOS support too.

When I look after a child I am always looking after their family too.  It is an incredible privilege to share in families challenging times.  My mission remains the same 'Relaxed Parents, Happy Babies'.

I feel I have the best job in the world.

I am Mummy to Isabella and William, which makes everyday magic....and full on!   I’ve been there……Being a parent myself gives a personal touch to my work as I understand the emotions, struggles and practical juggles.  My Soul-Full Mama and Baby course gives you a gorgeous Support Toolkit to manage the massive changes becoming a new parent.

After running Baby Steps in London for 13 years, we moved to Hampshire.  Here I have a beautiful studio in the woods which offers a calm cocoon for new parents and babies with courses and events.  Plus my online courses mean I can help even more families too.

Whether it's here at the Studio, in your home or online, I can not wait to support you and your little one,
